如果我們觀察 USD/CAD 商品貨幣對的 4 小時圖，我們可以發現其價格走勢與隨機指標之間存在背離。即使目前加拿大元仍處於盤整/橫盤狀態，這是由於 WMA（21）線在該貨幣對的 K 線中位移動，且呈現平坦的斜率狀態。因此，只要弱勢美元/加元未能下破並收盤於該水平以下，1.3896 就有可能向上增強，其中 1.4015 水平將被試圖突破並收於其上方。如果成功，USD/CAD 將繼續增強至其主要目標 1.4042 水平。若其增強的波動性及動能支持，則 1.4091 水平將成為下一個目標。
